Book Review: City of Lost Souls

So, I've finished reading City of Lost Souls a few days ago and I loved it!

This is the synopsis:

The demon Lilith has been destroyed and Jace freed from captivity. But when the Shadowhunters arrive, they find only blood and broken glass: Jace, the boy Clary loves, and Sebastian, the brother Clary hates, have disappeared.
The Clave's magic cannot locate either boy, but Jace can't stay away from Clary. When they meet again, Clary is horrified to discover that Lilith's magic has bound Jace together with Sebastian, and Jace has become a servant of evil.
The Clave is out to eradicate Sebastian, but there is no way to harm one boy without destroying the other, Alec, Magnus, Simon, and Isabelle scheme and bargain to save Jace, but Clary is utterly alone, playing a dangerous game. If she loses, her life - and Jace's soul - are forfeit. She's do anything for Jace, but can she still trust him? Or is he truly lost?

 My review: (there are spoilers)

I really liked the way that the relationships were developed in this book. I'm sad that Simon didn't get to have a conversation with his mom, but I'm super happy that Rebecca is okay with him being a vampire! When he said to her that she didn't have to see him anymore and she said: "I don't want to never see you again." and then she said: "You're my little brother, you dumb idiot. I love you no matter what.", it was so cute! I'm so happy for Simon!

His relationship with Izzy during the book is so...

CUTEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

I loved that Izzy admitted that she is in love with him! <3

Magnus and Alec... I'm gonna cry...

Why??? Why Alec??? Why Magnus??? Alec wasn't going to do that!!!!! But... Omg... I can't even talk about it...

I'm so sad that Jocelyn and Luke didn't get married! I was so excited for it!

Jordan and Maia are so cute!!! I know they're not really relevant to the story but I think that they are such a pretty couple and I hope someone one day treat me like Jordan treats her. <3

Now let's talk about Clary and Jace:

I'm upset because Jace (I mean the real Jace) wasn't in the book. He was but only for a little time in Paris and at the end. And Jace is my favourite character, so... but I loved how at the end he said to Clary: "I feel in love with you, because you were one of the bravest people I'd ever know. So how could I ask you to stop being brave just because I loved you?". That's awesome.

 Now Sebastian!

In a certain point, even knowing he was up to no good, I really wanted to believe him. He was being so gentle to Clary, talking about their parents and stuff. But then Jace "woke up" and I discovered that he was REALLY up to no good. And at the end when he was saying to Clary that they should get married and then he kissed her!

THAT'S DISGUSTING!

But I loved the book and I'm so excited for City of Heavenly Fire!!! Only 49 more days!!!!!

Sorry if that's not a very good review. That's my first review ever!

Bye guys! Tell me what you thought about the book on the comments below. :)

I just wanna punch Sebastian in the face!
