Movie Review: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

        

         I read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children more than a year ago, and I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. I have a review on it if you'd like to check it out before reading my thoughts on the movie adaptation. After watching the teasers and the trailers, I realized that this movie would probably not be a very good adaptation. But I still had a flicker of hope that it wouldn't be a total failure. 

         The movie is about Jacob, as he goes on a journey to find the mysterious children's home that his grandfather used to live in when he was younger. Jake finds out that the stories that his grandfather told him were real, and the children that lived in the house had special powers, or peculiarities, like super strength, invisibility, and the ability to bring life to someone or something for a short time. What Jake wasn't expecting was to find that the kids are still alive, and in incredible danger, and Jake is the only one who can help them.

        My favourite part of this movie was the setting. The island where the house is situated, is exactly like what I had imagined, and the house was beautiful and magical, like in the books. Some, although not quite all, of the characters were just as I had pictured them to be, and the actors did a great job in portraying them. Particularly Millard, Fiona, Bronwyn, Claire, and the twins. Asa Butterfield wasn't as bad as I thought he would be for the role, but he still didn't embody Jake as well as he could've. Although I hate that Emma's and Olive's powers were switched (something that Tim Burton decided to do to so that the plot would work better), it is definitely not the worse thing in the film. Ella Purnell did a decent job in bringing Emma's personality to life, it wasn't her fault that the character wasn't well depicted. Other characters' ages were pumped up, like Olive and Enoch, to add feelings like jealousy and romance to the plot. In my opinion, the actress who played Olive looked to old for the way she was acting. In the book she's about five years old if I remember correctly, and she's absolutely adorable. I wish she was kept like that in the movie. 

         I was expecting Eva Green to be a great Miss Peregrine, since Burton called her a 'scary Mary Poppins', but instead, she was something else entirely. Not like Miss Peregrine. She is supposed to be scary but in a cool way, and she loves the children. In the movie she was extremely theatrical and would change moods so quickly for no apparent reason. She was also too young. The main Wight villain, Barrow, was played by Samuel L. Jackson, and instead of being scary, he was trying too hard to be funny. There were so many out of place lines in this movie, it was ridiculous. The book has a creepy feeling to it, and I wish the movie had it too, but unfortunately it felt more childish that serious.

          Now let's talk about the fact that the second half of the movie is not from the book at all! I'm pretty sure I spent the entire movie turning to my friend (who has read the book as well) and repeating how confused I was. For some reason, the characters had to go to this whole other place to rescue Miss Peregrine, and there were a bunch of wights and hollows (which are huge in the movie by the way), and they were in this amusement park, and I don't wanna spoil you, but I gotta say, the most ridiculous thing that could've happened happened. 


        I know this review is all over the place, but it's mainly because I was (and still am) very confused. I understand that movies can't be exact replicas of the books, but they certainly can do the best they can to make it similar. And for some reason, this movie was completely different. If you've read the book, I recommend you to watch it just so you understand what I'm talking about. And trust me, it will make you cringe and laugh because it's just so terrible, there's nothing else you can do.

- The whole second part of the movie.
- Horace's awkward dream of Emma and Jake kissing
- Emma has magical shoes that she never loses even when she drops them in random places.
- Awkward eyeball animation. 
- Barrow's shapeshifting hand. 
- The Wight who is also an animal hybrid. 
- "and then I joined the navy."
- Jake is too chill the whole time.
- Hollow chalk outline.
- And many others...

The Mortal Instruments - A movie and tvshow review

          If you are a fan of the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, then you are probably are aware of two things: 

1- A City of Bones (aka the first book in the series) movie came out in 2013 and it totally flopped. 

2- It was decided that the series would be made into a tv show on Free Form (former ABC Family) and it came out in the beginning of this year.

The movie had many complications but it also had some positive factors. Starting with the cinematography, which looked stunning. Places like Clary’s house and the New York Institute looked just like most of the fans had imagined. Some of the scenes were also really entertaining. Although it was a bit different from the book, the fight scene at the Hotel Dumort was very badass. However, the screenwriters had decided to alter some of the scenes from the book and cast actors that wouldn’t be the reader’s first choice (I am looking at you Jonathan Rhys Meyers), which not only created a few plot holes (No one could possibly believe that “naturally blond” Jace was dark haired Valentine’s and redheaded Jocelyn’s son) but also left fans very disappointed.

My case was a bit different than most fans since I watched the movie before I read the novels. That tends to change your mind a little bit. I loved the movie and it made me want to read the series. I obviously see that it is far from being a good book to movie adaptation but weirdly enough I can separate both things and enjoy the movie without comparing it too much to the book.

The news that they would give the series a second chance and turn it into a tv show left the fans overjoyed but also worried that the same thing that happened to the movie would happen to it. When people found out the actors who were gonna play their favourite characters, there were some mixed reactions. For example, I was really excited to see Emeraude Toubia and Matthew Daddario play the Lightwood siblings, but wasn’t very thrilled about Alan Van Sprang as Valentine (better than the one in the movie but still…) or Katherine McNamara and Dominic Sherwood as the main characters, Clary and Jace. I just couldn’t imagine them as the characters. But I, and many fans, still had hope that the show would succeed and the actors would be the perfect choices. 

Trailers and Sneek Peeks were released, and we started to doubt that this would be better than the movie. But we still had a flicker of hope. Then, January 12th came around and I stayed far away from social media, because I would only be able to watch the show on the next day, since I didn’t live in the US. On the next day I was at a friend’s house and I told her about the show. She and I decided to watch it. I'm sad to admit that I was very disappointed with it. It was still enjoyable, and I was still excited to watch the next episode. But a part of me couldn’t believe that the second chance that this series got was going to be ruined.

As I expected, Emeraude and Matt were great in their roles. Perhaps not exactly as I had pictured the characters to look like and act, but they won me over with some funny lines (and great acting). I’m not saying they are perfect, since Isabelle is (as I remember correctly) more badass and she definitely wouldn’t be the “distraction” or seduce someone for information (I also feel that the show is concentrating too much on her body. We get that she’s sexy but she doesn’t have to wear revealing clothes 24/7). I was very surprised to find that my favourite character on the show was none other than Simon Lewis! Someone who I never really liked in the books. Alberto Rosende is, hands down, one (if not the) of the best actors in this shown. He is a funny, believable character, and the actor crushed it with his acting. My doubts were, unfortunately, confirmed with Dom’s and Kat’s characters. Their lines felt forced and the characters totally different from who they actually are. Their chemistry felt awkward and I cringed a lot. But I guess this is more of the writers' fault. They are the ones who wrote those lines and made those characters act that way. (Can we get new screenwriters for the next season please??)

There were ups and downs as the series progressed. Sometimes it would reach a point where the fans would think: Oh, this is actually pretty good. I hope it keeps up this way! But then they would be disappointed again as they watched the following episode. We all knew that it would be different from the books, the characters are older and we understand that a tv show might need a little bit more of extra plot and cliffhangers, but we weren’t expecting it to be this different. 

So basically there are many things that we wish we could take out of the movie and switch it with the show. Let’s be honest, the Institute is not supposed to be that modern, full of technology, and the amount of Shadowhunters in New York makes me so frustrated that I hate to even think about it. The movie did that right, the show didn’t. Also the special effects in the movie is 100% better than the ones on the show. And I wouldn't mind switching some of the actors as well. (I like Lily Collins. What can I say?)

The characters’ chemistry is also a problem. Yeah, I have to agree that Magnus and Alec has some cute scenes, but sometimes it just doesn’t feel right. Simon and Isabelle are cute but not right either. And don’t even get me started with Clary and Jace. Every time they are together in the same room the scene’s quality decreases. Their lines never (well, almost never, I’m sure there are some good ones, right?) feel natural, and I just don’t really understand how they fell in love with each other. Plus, I need better scenes between Alec and Jace. They are Parabatai, for goodness sake! Don’t the writers know what that means?

But as many fans, I kept watching it. I can’t give up on it. We just have to hope that it will get better. I was quite surprised when it was renovated for a second season, so now we’ll just have to wait. I’m not sure if I recommend it. I believe most of the fans already watch it, so if you don’t know about this series. At least read the books, it’s worth it.  

      

                    

                    

Book and Movie Review: Me Before You

Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or that knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he's going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn't know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they're going to change the other for all time.

    I watched the movie adaptation of Me Before You and I feel like I'm finally able to review it! At first I was a bit iffy about it because I read The Last Letter From Your Lover (I reviewed it as well), and it is by the same author, Jojo Moyes. I didn't really like it so when I found out that she wrote Me Before You I didn't know if I wanted to read it. However, I started to hear a lot about it and I finally saw the movie trailer. It looked so cute and so good! And there are so many good actors that I know from other movies/shows and it made me really excited. I finally decided to read it and I loved it. It wasn't what I was expecting it to be, even though I watched the trailer. I thought it would be about the romance between Lou and Will but it really wasn't! There was a lot of cute moments and romance in it but it didn't take over the book. It was funny and sad and it really made me think about life and stuff. 
     I really liked the characters, particularly Lou. She is funny and nice and super relatable. Her style is also pretty cool. I also really liked Will, Nathan, and Treena. I was cheering for Louisa the whole time and I really liked how determined and caring she was. I'm not going to talk about the ending because I don't want to spoil anyone but I just really liked this book. I love contemporaries so I'm not surprised I did.

    I really enjoyed the movie! It was way more fast paced than the book and there were some scenes in the book that I wish were in it but overall it was pretty good. Sam Claflin and Emilia Clarke are great and they are the perfect Will and Lou! I honestly don't know how else to review this movie but just to tell you that you should watch it because it's great. I wish we had gotten to see more of Lou's relationship with her family tho... Anyways, I love Lou's outfits and I want the dress that she wore at the wedding because it's gorgeous. 

     Well this is my review, I need to go back to my habit of reviewing books right after I finish reading them because then I remember everything and can write a more passionate review. I'll try to do that. I know that there is a Me Before You sequel called After You but I'm not sure if I want to read it or not...  Anyways, hopefully I'll post another review soon, until then byee :)

                    

Movie Review: Fantastic Four

   First of all, whose stupid idea was to make a new Fantastic Four movie? Like seriously, there was no need for this. Rotten Tomatoes ratted it 8%! I really didn't like it. I was comparing it to the, really good, Fantastic 4 from 2005 that was basically my childhood. The actors in this movie are so young! I can't take them seriously. I have to admit that the movie is visually appealing but the plot is not good at all. The changes they made didn't feel right. The final battle was so fast. I was thinking "Shit. This is it. The movie is about to end." I was so annoyed! Nothing happened!!! Honestly, the only character that I liked was Ben and I felt so bad for him! This movie was completely unnecessary and I just want to forget I ever saw it. 

                   

Movie Review: Paper Towns

   I read the Paper Towns book in April for my Book Club and I wrote a review that you can check out here. On my review you might have noticed that I didn't really like this book. I watched the movie with my friends from Book Club and now I'm gonna talk a bit about it. Be aware that this review will contain spoilers from the book and the movie. 

   In my opinion, the movie is better than the book. I know you don't hear that very often, but I think it is true. I thought that the book was slow paced and boring. But because it is a movie, things happen quicker and the boring details are eliminated. I really like Cara as Margo and Nat as Quentin. Actually, the whole cast was very well chosen. They really looked like high school students! Something that we usually don't see on the media these days. 

   I just really love Nat Wolff. He is so adorable. Q's obsession with Margo annoys me a lot but Nat made it a bit more bearable. I don't like Margo's character. At the end I was so mad with her!! Ben was still super annoying but a bit cuter in the movie. I wanted his relationship with Lacey to be bigger in the movie but it wasn't... Lacey is pretty awesome. I really like her. Radar is pretty cool too, he looked exactly like I pictured. Angela is the cutest, I'm so happy she was more present in the movie than in the book! She is definitely one of my favourite characters even tho she's not very important. 

   Can we talk about John Green's cameo? My friends and I were the only ones in the theatre so we basically talked and fangirled (by that I mean we literally yelled at the scream multiple times) all the time. I knew about John's cameo so if you didn't you may not have noticed it. He was Becca's (is that her name?) father, the one that came out of the house carrying a gun?! That was funny. And what about Ansel Elgort??? He was so cute!!! We were freaking out! It's really funny that he is in another John Green movie (just like Nat :P).

   I really liked the changes they made, it made the movie better. I really liked the ending, because when I read the book I was sure Q would go to Prom. But he didn't. Also, when Quentin had that weird dream about Margo... What was that? 

   This movie was really funny. One of my favourite scenes was when they were at the mini mall. And Ben starts singing the first song that comes to his mind, which happens to be the Pokemon theme song. Hilarious.

   I was looking for a cute interview of the cast to put on here but then I found this interview of Cara Delevingne with the Good Day Sacramento anchors. And it is unbelievable. The anchors are so disrespectful! I honestly think that Cara was right to have that reaction. The questions were so weird and they even said her name wrong. WTF? 

                   

 

Movie Review: Pitch Perfect 2

     Hey guys! So, on May 16th I watched Pitch Perfect 2 and I loved it! It is so hilarious and awesome. The songs are great, in my opinion better than the ones on the first movie because remember when they used to sing the same songs all the time? It didn't leave enough room to sing cool songs. But in this movie, all the songs were great! There are somethings that I didn't like but overall the movie was very funny and entertaining. 
     I love Hailee Steinfeld! She is so adorable and such a good singer! Her character was great and her relationship with Benji was the cutest thing ever! Jeca (Jesse + Beca) is my OTP for Pitch Perfect! They are so freaking cute together and in the first movie their relationship was kind of a big deal but I feel like in this movie it was just there and we didn't get any romantic scenes with them. The only scene where they were alone was when he was dropping her off at the Recording Studio (and that scene was pretty cute). And I wanted so much more!!! Also, the Treblemakers weren't important at all?!?!
     The Recording Studio thing was pretty cool, when Anna Kendrick and Snoop Dogg sang together!!! It sounded so good! The whole thing with Fat Amy and Bumper was so cute! When he asked if she wanted to be his girlfriend and she said "no" was so sad!! I felt so bad for him! But it was so funny the scene where she sang "We Belong"! 
     People say that Beca and Chloe are supper gay for each other. I don't think so, I actually have never thought about that till I saw Bechloe fanfics on Tumblr (and they are kinda weird...). But then I watched Pitch Perfect again and realized that Chloe seems really into Beca but I don't think Beca is into her?! People were making the cabin scene a really big deal but I think it's just supposed to be funny and it doesn't actually mean that they are gay... I don't know, this is my opinion. I don't think there's any problem with that I just don't see it. Comment below what your opinions are. 
     There were a lot of racist jokes on that movie, that commentator, John, was so racist and an idiot in general. I know they did that just to make it funny but I wish someone had said something to him instead of just looking at each other awkwardly. The a capella world tournament was really fun. I loved to see people from different countries singing the same song. The first group to perform was the Canadian group (and I live in Canada) and everyone in the movie theatre started cheering. It was pretty funny. 
     Well, the movie was pretty funny. It did have some racist comments, but I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it. It was just supposed to make people laugh. The songs were great and the characters were awesome. I recommend for you to watch it if you liked the first movie! Oh, I forgot! The first scene when Barack and Michelle Obama were there was so funny! The whole "Wrecking Ball" scene was great.

              

Movie Review: Insurgent

    Since my most popular post on this blog is my book review of Insurgent, I decided to do a movie review too. I watched it on saturday, and I was so disappointed. I didn't have really high expectations,  I mean, did you see the trailer? Those simulations were terrible. I don't even know if I'll be able to say nice thing about this movie. Most of you know what I think about the Divergent series. I try real hard to like it, but I just don't see why people love it so much. I really don't like Tris or Four. I like them better on the movies than on the books. To be completely honest, my favourite character on the Insurgent movie was Peter. He was so hilarious and he did his job. Which was great. If you haven't read the book or watched the movie, go and do it. And then come back so we can discuss about it together.

THE REVIEW BELLOW WILL HAVE SPOILERS OF THE MOVIE AND THE BOOK

    I fell like the movie didn't flow together. The scenes didn't seem connected. It was so weird. And the sets didn't flow either, they were so different. Every time they went to a different place, it looked like they were in another world, another movie. The dream sequences were also very confusing, and kind of useless? Peter was hilarious. At the beginning in Amity, when he is talking to the people at the line for food, I was cracking up. And also, when they are hiding in Johanna's office, and Peter yells to Eric, telling him where they were. I know I was supposed to be mad at him, but his character was so good, that I couldn't. I don't like Caleb in the books, but he's great in the movies. I mean, I know he is a freaking traitor. But the way that Ansel portrays him, it's awesome. I think that my favourite scenes were when they were in Amity. I don't know if you guys know it, but my faction is Amity. And I was so excited to see it in the movies. I wish we had more scenes there. And I really wanted to see Tris on the Peace serum. That scene is so funny on the book. Marcus wasn't even there most of the time, only at the beginning. I wish we had seen more of his relationship with Four.
   Something that made absolutely no sense was that scanner to see people's factions and their percentage of divergence. WTF??? How the hell do they have something so technological like that? And when did they have time to make it? And I also don't understand how Tris is 100% divergent, if she has aptitude for 3 different factions, not 5! The technology in this movie was so unrealistic. It is so much more advanced than it is on the books. On the books they can't even see the simulations very clearly on their screens! The movie didn't feel as real as it would without all of that.
   Four's mom is too young! She is definitely not his mom! I can't believe they casted her! The place where the Factionless live is so much better than on the books. On the books they basically live on the streets, and have to share their cans of food! That was so unbelievable.
   The whole scene where Four and Tris are on the truth serum was so much less intense than it is on the book. They changed their answers, and that last question for 4 was not supposed to be answered like that. And they did not have the scene where Christina forgives Tris. That is such an important scene, and on the movie they were kind of just friends again.
   I wish we could have seen Uriah, Marlene, and Lynn more. Uriah kind of had a scene with Tris, and I remember that when I found out that he was divergent I was so surprised. And on the movie it was no big deal at all. Even Marlene's death was no big deal, because she wasn't a very important character. That scene where she dies is so ridiculous! What the hell happened there? No one went to save them, besides Tris and Tori. Why didn't anyone else go? And there were billions of people down there, just staring at them. They could've just walked forward and tried to catch them! Four was right there! Just looking as Marlene fell in front of him! I couldn't believe it.
   The scenes were so out of order, when the dauntless (the bad ones) invaded Candor. Wasn't that supposed to happen more at the end? I don't honestly remember. And Tris didn't even get to kill Eric! I was waiting for that! Why did Four kill him??? Why???
   The whole box thing was just stupid. That machine for the simulations is connected to the box somehow. And there is no explanation about it. It was interesting how they had to pass at each faction to open it. But Tris didn't really. The abnegation thing was when she didn't let Four kill Peter? That was nothing! And the Amity? Where she fights herself. That made no sense. And when she was falling from the sky and it took a hundred years for her to reach the ground. Completely nonsense.
   I don't really remember Janine dying at the end. But I don't think she was supposed to. And why did Four's mom kill her? The ending was so bad. I was so frustrated. The way that everyone saw the video, and how people just started to walk towards the gate. No!!!! That was not supposed to happen!
I wonder how they are going to make Allegiant now. It's all messed up.
  I left the movie theatre very disappointed. And I honestly didn't like the movie. But maybe you did. What are your thoughts about it? What did you like? I really liked Peter, he was very funny. Oh! And Jin from Lost was there!

Movie Review: Mockingjay Part 1

    Oh my God!!!!! So this weekend I watched Mockingjay Part 1 and loved it so much! If you haven't watched it don't go with high expectations (in my Socials class we always discuss about films and a lot of the people surprisingly didn't like it). Mockingjay is my least favourite book on the trilogy, I didn't like how the ending was written and some deaths were unnecessary. The movie was great, but it doesn't have a lot of action like Catching Fire does, it's more of a "building up" for the Revolution. I fell like I have to watch it again to write a more faithful review but I don't think I will go to the movies again, so I'm gonna try the best that I can to share my opinion with you all.

THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS OF THE MOVIE AND BOOK.

   Okay, so we start with a scene of Katniss hiding in a small place, which I imagine is one of the various places that she goes to have a time by herself in the book, and she is repeating that thing "I am Katniss Everdeen. I am from district 12..." just like the book and I was really excited about that. Jennifer Lawrence is such an amazing actress and she plays the way that Katniss was losing her mind, really well. Did you guys noticed that they use the same sound/song on the beginning of all the movies? That's really cool! I've never noticed that before.
   After being knocked out she wakes up at her hospital room and she hears someone crying. When  we see Finnick, we notice how sad and lost he is because of Annie. Guys! He was crying! That broke my heart!!!
   I'm mad that we didn't see Finnick in his underwear. That scene is so hilarious and I was looking forward to it, because come on guys, it's Finnick. All the scenes with him were heart breaking because he was always tying the knots and he looked lost and omg it was really sad.
   I was wondering how they were going to do the propos and I really liked them! The first one was so hilarious when Katniss was in front of that green screen and she has a line to say and everything, it was so funny because Katniss, not Jennifer, is apparently really bad at acting. I think that the other propos were beautiful.
   It was very sad when Katniss went to district 12 for the first time. When she sees all those skulls and she kind of freaks out, like she's realizing that that was kind of her fault.
   The lockdown scene was so scary! When everyone was running downstairs and Katniss falls, and when she discovers that Prim is not there. The doors were closing and it was so nerve wracking! I was really happy to see that Gale was with her and that she got the cat and all! I have to admit something, when I first read Mockingjay... Gale was my favourite character... I never blamed him for "killing Prim", because he didn't! It wasn't his fault! But what broke my heart was when at the end of the book he leaves Katniss. After everything that they've been through! I know she would never look at him again the same way because of Prim, but even though!
   When they were all in the bunker and the Capitol was trowing bombs... That was freaking scary! That was way more intense than in the book! But I really liked that scene!!!
   Something that we don't have in the book but we do have in the movie is seeing what's going on with the districts during the Revolution. It was really awesome to see! When those men in district 7 (I think) were in the woods and someone whistles and they climb the trees and a man screams "We burn, you burn with us" and bombs explode. That was awesome! We see that they are willing to risk their lives to change the government!
    I'm glad that we have Effie in the movie! She is not in the book (only at the end and that was confusing?!) and she is so funny! I love her so much! Elizabeth Banks is perfect as Effie! I just missed her colourful outfits!
   The camera crew was so cool! Castor is handsome ;) and Pollux was so adorable!!! I really liked their cameras. I think that in the book Katniss describes the cameras as them being really big. But they were actually really small, and there were also some attached to their helmets! So cool! And Cressida looked really badass!
   Now lets talk about something we've all been waiting for a long time. The Hanging Tree song!!! Ahhh!!! I loved it so much! I didn't imagine it that way but it's so much better! At the beginning it was so good but when everyone started singing it was so powerful! It was breathtaking, so perfect!
   Every time we saw Peeta on TV I had tears. We could see him getting worse each time and Katniss' reaction was so heartbreaking! This movie was really dark and sad if you think about it.
   I'm glad we got to see them going to rescue Peeta and the others! It was so intense!!! And it was going back and fourth between Finnick talking about how his body was sold to the Capitol and Snow's secrets to the rescue... So tense... And then Katniss and Snow were Skyping :P, so insane.
   I was looking forward to see the meeting between Katniss and Peeta. Johanna looked so cool! (I feel bad for saying this :p Jena Malone looked great with her head shaved! Don't know if she actually did that tho.) And Annie!!! Finnick and Annie meeting was exactly how I imagined! So beautiful! But it was freaking horrifying when Katniss saw Peeta! He looked so bad! It was so sad! I was crying! And then he suddenly was suffocating her! So scary! He looked pretty strong for someone that has been tortured for weeks. And Katniss eyes! I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry (I know that sounds mean). It looked so real!
   I thought that that was going to be the end but then Katniss woke up and Plutarch was explaining to her the whole Hickjacked thing. Which I thought it was good because I lot of people probably didn't understand what was going on. And then president Coin was giving a speech and Katniss was slowly walking towards Peeta's hospital room. I thought she was going to try to talk to him so I was freaking out. And then we see him on that last scene! So sad!!! HEARTBREAKING!

   I wanna watch it again! I really liked it! So excited for Mockingjay part 2! What did you think of the movie? I would love to hear your thoughts so comment below! :)

Movie Review: Big Hero 6

    Yesterday I watched Big Hero 6 and I loved it! I was really excited about it because a lot of people were talking about it on Tumblr (and the trailer is adorable). My favourite character is Baymax! He is so cuteeee!!! I recommend the movie to all of you. I'm a big Disney fan and I was not disappointed with this movie. It's not something we've never seen before, but it's a fun, cute, and really funny movie!            
               

Movie Review: The Maze Runner

 I watched The Maze Runner last night and it's so good!!!! There were some differences but I think that overall the movie was loyal to the book. I think that the movie was more for the people that have read the book than for the people that haven't. I had to explain all the movie to my mom because she wasn't understanding why that was happening. The movie was more fast passed than the book, which is fine by me. I just thought that Gally's anger of Thomas was not truthful to his anger in the book. I didn't feel like Thomas needed to hate him. When Thomas remembered his name, that was so funny! MY NAME IS THOMAS! Chuck was so cute!!! And I cried at the end because I knew that that was gonna happen but I was praying that it wouldn't! Newt is sooooo cuteeeeee!!! And I was sad that he didn't call Thomas Thommy because I think that it's adorable when he does that in the books. Minho is so nice and I really liked the guy that played him, he was the perfect Minho! That scene when Theresa was throwing rocks at the Gladers was hilarious and The Glade is just so well done! I think that if the Grievers Hole was like it is described in the book, it would be too confusing. The way that they did was a good way to change its appearance but it's still basically the same thing. That thing that they found inside the Griever? Really cool! When the doors didn't close and the Grievers attacked the Gladers instead of attacking only one... Oh My GOD! That was so intense and horrifying! My mom was freaking out in her seat. I think that the movie needed that scene so in my opinion that was a good change. And I remember that in the book there were more than 40 people alive after the attack and in the movie there was like 20 people. I think that the movie wasn't that long so I think that they should have done that thing where the maps form words for the code. That numbers sequence was kind of nonsense. The end was really nice. I think that it was quite awesome when they were in the helicopter and they could see the maze. This was an awesome book to movie adaptation and I'm so excited for the next one!!!!!!

Movie Review: If I Stay

           

 
   Yesterday I watched the If I Stay movie and I loved it so much! Such an awesome book to movie adaptation! I loved it so freaking much! Even tho I didn't cry while reading the book I did cry when watching the movie. It is very emotional and I think that Chloe Moretz and Jamie Blackley did a good job at portraying Mia and Adam. I felt like I already had watched the movie because it was so much alike the book! There were some extra stuff that wasn't in the book but I really liked like some romantic scenes between Mia and Adam and that thing about the Julliard ceiling. So cute! I don't think that keeping Mia's father and Teddy alive for awhile was good idea, I don't know... I just didn't like it because it gave her and us so much hope. Other things that pissed me off was that they changed the name of Adam's band! Seriously! Maybe there was a good reason for it but the name that they chose (I don't even remember) wasn't as good as Shooting Star! And I also didn't like that Kim hasn't her signature braid! Was that so hard to do??? The way that they put the flashbacks between the hospital scenes was very good (just like in the book ;) and I recommend you all to watch it!

Movie Review: Noah

Hi! It's me again! So, yesterday I went to the movies and I watched the new movie Noah, and I really liked it. It is based on the story of Noah's Ark, it's not exactly the same but I really liked this version of the story and it was pretty intense.


Synopsis: 

Human barbarism and warfare have ravaged the landscape. Noah (Russell Crowe), a peaceful man, just wants to live a righteous life with his family. Every night, Noah has visions of death by water, followed by renewed life on Earth.

He's sent word from the Creator that a great flood is coming that will destroy the world and all life. When Noah begins to build a giant ark in order to save himself, his loved ones and two of every species from the impending flood, he's approached by an army of men who want to take over the boat in an effort to save themselves.

I thought that Emma Watson did an incredible job! She is so cute and an amazing actress! I love Logan Lerman but I didn't like his character, but I think his character was important because he represents some of men characteristics. I don't know the other actors but I think that everyone did a pretty good job! And there was this really cute guy that played Shem, his name is Douglas Booth!

 

 I give a 3.5 of 5 stars. :)
